A robot created in the image of missing/former idol "Aine." Ai is very focused on his work and not very good at interacting with others, but has the professionalism to make it in his industry. Sometimes he has a sharp tongue and speaks too bluntly, but Ai is only interested in the truth and expanding his knowledge. Also, what is love and human emotions, and what is "jello?"

[Well look at which lucky little lady won herself a backstage pass to meet an idol after the show!

Anastasia was escorted to where she will meet Ai Mikaze, and there he is. Now for something she doesn't often do: Actually approach boys to talk to them.]

M-Mister Mikaze? It's nice to meet you. I'm Anastasia.

[Ends that tag chain of friendly girls with this asshole.

Ai doesn't have any malice to him. It's not as if he's unhappy to meet a fan. In fact, he does greet Anatasia with a polite smile, with even his lavender eyes gleaming with sincerity... Ai is just more awkward behind his idol persona.]

You really came? Thank you for coming, Ms Anatasia. [He stands from the dressing table, where he had been reviewing his schedule for the next day. One job is done, time to focus on the next one. Luckily, Ana does take priority.] Were you watching the show?

[What to say, what to say!]

Um, yes. I was there from the beginning. You were quite charming-

[Instant dead stop! What the hell did she just blurt out? She Didn't mean to be that forward.]

[That earns a polite chuckle from Ai. It's always reassuring to hear that his fans sincerely enjoy his work.]

Thank you. I'm glad to hear it. I'll work hard to impress you next time, too. [He can see that she might be embarrassed. Though embarrassment is a somewhat foreign concept to Ai, he does understand when fans get nervous. And he knows to treat them well. So his persona clicks on.

What he doesn't know is what he's supposed to do about this VIP access.]

I'm supposed to show you around, then? I'm not sure what parts of backstage interest you. [He's not about to waste both their time showing her things she doesn't care about. His aloof personality slips in as he speaks too bluntly:] I don't want to waste time.

[He could have added doesn't want to waste her time or doesn't want to bore her, but Ai is clumsy with his words. And has no tact.]

[She's about as clueless as well. She didn't take it as rude.]

I understand. As a Princess, I know what it's like to be hard-pressed for time.

I'll be happy with whatever you have to show me. I want to see how you enjoy spending your time between shows.

Myself?

[Ai looks back at the schedule, which he had set down on the dressing room table. He thinks for a moment, then nods. She asked a reasonable question, so she's getting an honest answer:]

I usually check my schedule, and get ready for my next job. [He picks up the schedule again. Since it isn't confidential, he isn't bothered by letting her see what an idol's calendar looks like.] If I have nothing lined up, I get out of the way and go home to write music.

[It other words, he just keeps working. Before that can be addressed, he does bring up his own question:]

Princess?

[She does wonder what he does while he writes music. What goes into song-writing. That's a more personal thing and she won't go there.

So she just answers his question.]

Yes, I'm a Princess. Not that it really means anything here.

I suppose that would logically follow. I don't have any information about a Princess Anastasia in Genessia.

[He accepts briefly that her being a princess doesn't matter here. That's logical. Her kingdom isn't here and she doesn't advertise it by running a new kingdom, in the way that Ai is building a new idol career.

Still, something does tug at him lightly.]

Does the part of you that was raised as a princess hold no value to you here in Genessia? Is it that easy to let it go? I don't have any information to form a hypothesis off of, so I'm curious.

[TOTALLY NOT ACTING LIKE A ROBOT, NOPE.]

I usually keep it to myself unless necessary. I was harassed by some people merely for being a Princess. I am who I am, and that won't change.

I don't plan to throw away who I once was, though. I am still a Princess, but I am a Princess who finally gets to experience what it's like to not be a Princess.

Then it doesn't mean 'nothing' here. It still means something to you.

[Ai says this from a purely logical standpoint. He can't process her emotional troubles, other than realizing something has her worked up. Even as he can equate her situation vaguely to the existence of Aine, Ai doesn't know how to explain that with 'emotions.'

He steps back, giving Ana back the space he'd claimed while being nosy.]

Is it the same, then? Are you really living a new life here? It seems that a number of people try to restart their lives. I wonder if it really works, or if it's just running away? [blunt.]

It is not so much a new life for me as it is a new experience.

Just imagine, spending your whole life from birth to talk this way and behave that way, and never leave where you are confined to study, and then suddenly, you are free to experience what it's like to walk down a city street and not have people treat me like a Princess, but just an ordinary girl.

[... Did she just ask a robot to employ the use of an IMAGINATION?

Granted, Ai doesn't make the fact he's a robot a public fact. He appears so natural and, while quirky, he doesn't behave in a bluntly robotic fashion. He just seems aloof and analytical.]

Mm. It was that way when I first arrived. No one knew I was an idol. [He shrugs.] They do now. I made it that way.

[He's an idol... Oh right. And she's a VIP guest.] I got off track. Let's continue the tour.

[When she made the fact she's a Princess known, the likes of one green-haired street rat regularly used that fact to attack her directly. She'll just drop it because the charming illusion she had of Ai is pretty much gone now.

So, she nods.]

Oh... Okay. I'm right behind you.

[Having a fan behind him feels wrong. Even if that illusion has been shattered, Ai wants to treat Ana well. No because she's a princess, but because she's support him.]

If you have questions, I will continue to do my best to answer them. This is my first timing meeting a fan in person. [This is as close as Ai can get to admitting he's 'nervous.' He doesn't have any data to guide his decision making when interacting with Ana, because he's had no prior experience. Ai isn't sure how to describe the feeling of being uncertain.]

What do you do if the music or lyrics don't seem to flow right?

[Valid question, actually.]

... Sometimes that leads to writing a new song. I don't think it's wrong to adapt a composition to suit the lyrics. There can never be too much music.

[He does sincerely like music, after all. Her question leads him to another thought,] There's a mixing bay here. Do you want to hear the song I'm working on?

Yes, please.

[Now this is exciting! She is probably going to be the first one to hear Ai's newest single.]
